Katy Area Parks
There are several nearby parks with playgrounds, walking trails, splash
pads, shelters and other amenities.  Here are just a few.

Katy - City Park.  Located at 5720 Franz Road
Features: lights, jogging trail, 4 softball fields, 1 hardball field, 2
concession stands, 6 tennis courts and a covered basketball pavilion.
Adjacent to the playground is an air-conditioned building and covered area
that can be reserved for a fee.

Katy - Harris County Park, Located at Katy Hockley Cut-Off and Morton
Road
Features: 100 acres featuring 4 soccer fields, 6 baseball fields, 2
pavilions, concession stands and restrooms.

Mary Jo Peckham Park, Located at 5597 Gardenia
Features: indoor heated, handicapped-accessible, Olympic-sized
swimming pool, and playground. Scheduled programs include: Adapted
Aquatics Lessons, Water Aerobics, Adult Lap Swim, and Adult Instruction.

Thomas Park, Located at Avenue D and 3rd Street
Features: outdoor weddings and photography, gazebo, d"little people's"
playground, walking path and benches. For more information please call
281-391-4840.

VFW Park Located at 6292 6th Street at Avenue D
Features: large oak trees, shaded areas, large covered picnic pavilion,
barbecue pits and tables, and playground. The VFW Hall is a large air
conditioned building containing 2 kitchens, 4 meeting rooms, 2 of which
can hold groups of over 100 each. These can be rented by calling the City
at 281-391-4840. A ball field is located just east of the VFW Hall and can
be used by the public.

Woodsland Park, Located at 443 Danover
Features: basketball pavilion, large barbecue pit, and playground
equipment. The building has kitchen facilities and can be reserved for use.
