PETITION FOR RICEWOOD MUD- Announcement
Updated information:
Crest Management received a letter from the MUD’s attorney stating “We are in
receipt of your correspondence dated August 18, 2009, which includes a petition
executed by numerous residents of the District, requesting that the District
consider implementing a credit card payment option program for payment of
water bills. Please be advised that, at its meeting on August 18, 2009, the Board
adopted an Electronic Payment Services Program (Program) to allow for the
payment of District water bills by customers through the following means: (1)
electronic funds transfers; (2) internet payments using credit cards; (3) internet
payments using financial institutions’ on-line bill payment system, (4) payments
at the area retail locations, and (5) automatic monthly debit. The program has not
yet been implemented because the Districts current alternative payment program
with Official Payment Corporation (OPC) must be terminated, and thirty days
written notice regarding said termination must be provided to OPC, which notice
is expected to be provided in the near future. Once confirmation is received of the
notice being provided, we will provide you with a firm date for implementation of
the Program so that you can notify the residents accordingly.”
